David Lee Smith

Knoxville

David Lee Smith, age 76, passed away Friday evening April 26, 2024 at U.T.Medical Center after a bout of brief illness. David was a general contractor and home improvement specialist with a career spanning from Florida to Tennessee and more than five decades.
A member and trustee of Union Baptist Church of Halls Crossroads, Tennessee. David loved spending time outdoors hunting and appreciating God's creation.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife of 41 years, Pat D Smith, sons David Lee Smith II, Adam D Smith and wife Summer Leah Smith. Grandchildren Leeland and Pauline Byram. Brother Jay T Smith, sisters Donna McGuire, Barbara Ann Roose and husband Bill Roose along with several nieces and nephews as well as countless other friends, acquaintances and his church family.
Special Thanks to Ned Jones, Bob Slagle and the Men's Ministry at Union Baptist and all the concerned friends and family who supported David and his family through this difficult time.
The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 in the Chapel at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls. Friends and family will meet for graveside services at Union Baptist Church in Halls at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 with Reverend Gary Vandergriff officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family ask the donations be made in David's name to the Union Baptist Church Building Fund. Donations can be sent to Union Baptist Church, 8244 Old Maynardville Pike. Knoxville, TN 37938
